Previous news items - 2006

  • January 2007 - User training sessions commence for researchers and research administrators.
  • January 2007 - IRISHelp@mq.edu.au operational.
  • 13th December - Commence roll out of IRIS to Researchers and Research administrators.
  • 23rd November - Project team complete the eight awareness/training sessions for IRIS web publications.
  • 8th November - Everyone  message sent with dates of awareness/training sessions.
  • 6th November - ResearchMaster deliver the release of web software required for IRIS to be rolled out, allowing installation and testing to commence.
  • 2nd October - IRIS live for back-office reporting of publications activity 2000-2005.
  • 30th August - First successful load of 2000-2005 publications data into IRIS test system.
  • 15th August - Systems administration and publications module training for project team complete.
  • 7th August - Requirements specification for web pilot of internal grant schemes sent to ResearchMaster for development (MQNS and Safety Net).
  • 27th July - First meeting of the IRIS Reference Group providing strategic guidance to the IRIS project team.
  • 28th June - Project team start their training on the ResearchMaster product.
  • 26th June - IRIS Steering Group approve Project Initiation Document, Project Scope, High Level Schedule and Communications Plan.
  • 22nd June - ResearchMaster Enterprise software package is installed in the ITS data centre.
  • 29th May - Contract signed with ResearchMaster for the supply of their Enterprise software package.
  • 12th May - First meeting if the IRIS Project Steering Group.
  • 3rd May - Realisation consultants appointed to document the ‘as is’ business processes in the HDRU and the Research Office.
  • 1st May - Allyn Sayers, Semira Dautovic, Natalie Blaik and Ruth Shegog seconded full-time to the IRIS project.
  • 28th April - Contract negotiations opened with preferred software supplier.
  • 20th March 2006 - Mark Ellis appointed Project Manager of the IRIS project.

  • 4th Decemeber - University Council approves IRIS Project budget.
  • November - Needs analysis workshops and vendor presentations.

Senior Management Fortnightly Updates 2006

As of April 2007, the IRIS Project is not issuing updates on a fortnightly basis.
