Specialist Researcher Series - ARC Workshops Held In 2006
In conjunction with the Centre for Professional Development, a series of workshops designed to support staff in their applications to the ARC were held throughout 2006. Information from the workshops will be added to this page as it is available. The workshops held were as follows:
The Social, Behavioural and Economic Sciences and the ARC
A Workshop with Professor Elim Papadakis, the ARC’s Executive Director of Social, Behavioural and Economic Sciences.
Writing ARC Summary Statements
A Workshop with Dr Jennifer Biddle, Department of Anthropology focusing on the 100-word summary for ARC applications.
Writing ARC Grant Applications
A Workshop with A/Prof Lesley Hughes, Department of Biological Sciences focusing on the “E” Section of ARC applications.
Developing Budgets for the ARC
A Workshop with Ms Martina Stiemer, Office of Financial Services focusing on budget requirements for ARC applications.
Central Commencement Program
All enrolled research candidates are able to access the online Central Commencement Program which provides information on a range of candidature issues including Ethics, Intellectual Property, Funding and Resources, Research Program Management, Thesis Preparation and Thesis Examination.
The information is based on a program presented bi-annually to commencing candidates, but all research candidates will find this important information useful.
