ACES MQRES Children and Families Research Centre PhD Scholarships (2)

We are building a dynamic team of researchers at The Children and Families Research Centre, a multidisciplinary centre based in the Institute of Early Childhood, Macquarie University. Two postgraduate scholarship positions are available in the area of early childhood education in the Children and Families Research Centre. We are seeking candidates with an interest and expertise in one or more of the following groups in relation to early childhood education:
- Children with disabilities
- Gifted children
- Children of new arrivals in Australia
- Indigenous children in Australia
MQRES scholarships are available to domestic or international students. Applicants should have equivalent research qualifications to an Australian undergraduate degree with first class honours (such as a Masters degree with a substantial thesis component) in a relevant discipline (such as special education, psychology, early childhood education, sociology) .
The scholarship pays a living allowance, currently $20,007 per annum, tax exempt (2008), and the tenure is a maximum 3.5 years full time, subject to satisfactory progress. Tuition fees will be funded for the scholarship tenure. Additional support for projects and for national and international travel will be available from the Centre. Opportunities for research assistance work and other professional development activities will be available for suitable applicants.

To help avoid formatting issues, save the RTF file to your desktop, open Microsoft Word, then go to 'File' and select 'Open'. In the pop up panel, make sure the dropdown option next to 'Show' is set to 'All Readable Documents'. Now you can select the RTF file and open it.
