Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES)
The Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES) scheme funds both domestic and international Higher Degree Research PhD scholarships.
These PhD scholarships are made available to fund postgraduate PhD students of exceptional research promise as they undertake their postgraduate research in the University's identified concentrations of research excellence. The individual letter of offer will confirm what is included in the offer package, but as a guide successful applicants may receive living and other allowances, and for international students overseas health cover and tuition fees. Domestic applicants would have access to research training scheme (RTS) placement for their tuition funding. Applicants must provide evidence of high Australian first class honours or equivalent research qualifications/background.
Interested candidates should discuss the availability of funded positions with their proposed supervisor before applying. Available positions will be advertised under the current scholarships section across the year. Please note that Award Categories 3.1 and 4.1 Individual Merit require a minimum rating of 4 and above, with offers subject to funding availability across the year as determined by the DVC Research.
